Shareware wire, based in Flint Michigan is a download site for users looking for good quality virus-free shareware and freeware software. Our mission here at shareware wire is to provide users with an opportunity to try software on a trial basis, giving the option to “try before you buy”. We also have a variety of freeware titles for you to choose from, all while providing a channel of distribution for software developers.

The philosophy

Shareware Wire was developed with over 6 years experience under our belts in the shareware industry. Inspired from rating and reviewing software for a well-known software distribution giant. (and also a little inspiration from the shareware king himself). We saw the need to develop a one-of-a-kind Web site. One that is valuable to the developers of the shareware community.

See.. at Shareware Wire we only host shareware, this gives the developers an option for their software to be seen and downloaded instantly from our servers. We also list freeware in our directory but the files are not hosted on our site. By offering software in this way we are able to reach a wide variety of users looking for all types of software.
